A Graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Donald W. Baker Jr. began his career as an apprentice for Pitt Studios of Cleveland, a 30+ man Commercial Art Studio located in the Standard Building near Public Square downtown Cleveland, OH. He gained commercial lithographic printing experience working as a Graphic Designer for ColorCraft Corp. He was employed as a Lettering Artist and Graphic Designer for American Greetings Corporation.

Baker Graphics opened in 1984, traditionally retouching and Illustrating for Advertising Agencies and Companies. Becoming electronic in 1993, he expanded his skills into High-End Digital Retouching and Image Manipulation, Illustration and Graphic Design contributing to numerous award winning projects.

Highlights include 2 minutes of prime time television coverage on local news channels 5 and 43 in 1994 - digitally retouching photography of Jacobs Field (now Progressive Field) while still under construction. He has rendered entire electronic libraries of digital artwork for corporations, and worked directly with corporation presidents on international presentations. In collaboration with the Cleveland Institute of Art, he supervised a class that created 3 murals for Streetsboro elemetary school. In 2002 he painted a 8’ tall guitar in the 1st “Guitarmania” for United Way of Cleveland. Most recently, Dec. 2012 Thru Jan. 2013, he was Digital Artist and Brand Ambassador for the Windows 8 Airport Activation for GT Events and affiliated with Microsoft and Southwest Airlines.
